Nice.
Because I love it.
And it’s due on Tuesday.
In the following images I went with the new red/blue scheme, and toned the background down from white to a subtle blue - the white was turning pink and not holding up very well in the previous image, I thought. The blue produces much more stable…

I tried to get JMyron (a Processing library for webcam capture) working for about an hour, and realized I’m probably making this way too complicated. All I wanted was to run a sketch and see a webcam capture. I discovered the GSVideo library, which is a pretty basic library. At least after…

Generating Images with Processing “Rendering a quad() per pixel based off of Richard Avedon’s photo of Marilyn Monroe. It took one hour to complete the 20% render here on an octo-core 3ghz Mac Pro. Although, I suspect the bottleneck is the Nvidia 7300GT.” Geof Crowl

overly pleased with tonight’s rapid progress toward a functional ground control system (GCS) graphical user interface (GUI). thanks to this post from principia labs, i discovered the controlP5 processing library, which is an incredibly powerful and easy to use GUI library for processing. acknowledgements out of the way, here’s how things progressed tonight (with pictures!): Read More

A particularly inspiring name.
This is me learning how to use objects in Processing, while doing stuff for project 2. The fact I used an object turned out to be not-so-helpful in this, but it’s good to have a better understanding nonetheless. Play around! Once you’ve click…

PERMANENT
This video explains my latest art piece, where I try to answer some of the many doubts which surround generative art and creative coding.
Through the chemical properties which make steel vulnerable to rust, I seek to materialize code without it losing its generative essence.
The music, photography (recorded with an iPhone 4s), narration and editing are also my work....

Damien Hirst Spotifier : Built with Processing
michaelrose:
I’m going to be teaching Processing to my Year 5 and 6 ICT classes this month. And, for some topical input and after checking out the Damien Hirst retrospective at the Tate yesterday, I thought I’d try to recreate his simple spot paintings in Processing.
It’s really simple, have a look at the code, but I think the results are spot on.
